This happened just last night around 11:30pm.
Typing on my phone, sorry if I miss stuff.
I'm 38, freelance, live in Samut Prakan. Been with my boyfriend about three years. Things aren't terrible, but there's a crack forming and I'm not sure if I'm just overthinking.
Last night he said he'd go work near a friend's neighborhood, then sent a location and a photo of a cafe that looks exactly like one we've been to together before — the picture had a coffee cup with a floral pattern and a tiny fork beside it, just like the one we've seen.
Then I saw messages with someone whose name I don't recognize. They were short, playful messages but there were some sweet words mixed in. I sent a casual message, just a joke, asked “where are you?” and got a cold reply, then his account went offline and disappeared — completely quiet for like 20 minutes.
I snooped his Facebook a bit, not on purpose, and saw comments that were teasing in a way that seemed closer than just coworkers. Like they had inside jokes in public. The post was from 2pm the day before. The comments looked way too familiar to be just coworkers, but when I asked him directly he said it was only a coworker from his old area, insisted they were just friends.
How I feel? So confused. Hurt. Burning mad inside. Don't trust him, but I don't want to jump to conclusions too fast because I'm not someone who likes controlling people. I want the relationship to be a safe space, but in that moment it felt like someone was walking into that space without warning. I was sitting on the balcony staring at my phone with the dim lights and my chest literally itched so much. For real, I'm so confused.
Or am I being weird? Should I have a sit‑down talk and make things clear? OP is scared of starting a fight and having the relationship fall apart, but also scared that if I bottle it up it'll explode later. Really want friends' perspective — what should I do?
P.S. If I should screenshot messages as evidence, is that okay to do? T_T lol
Confused and uncomfortable — feels like I'm in a three‑way relationship. Anyone been through this?
