What do you guys think I should do?
I’m... so confused lol
I’m 22, run a tiny online shop from Udonthani — sell fashion clothes and accessories. I pack everything myself, get up and prep for about an hour and a half, then help set up a small stall at the Saturday market. It’s a tiny stall with one white lamp and a roll of clear tape. I get there around 2pm and sell seriously until like 10:30pm. Sometimes I stand leaning on the table watching customers for hours.
First time posting a thread here so forgive me if I tell this weirdly
The problem is, my old part-time office boss — the one I used to work for before going online — secretly came to buy stuff at my stall and acted like he didn’t see me. Which is weird because before this he used to message me about stock all the time, like asking if a green top was left or if I was free that day. But when he actually showed up in person he had the coldest face, didn’t say hi, didn’t smile, then walked off to chat with another coworker of mine super casually — like a totally different person. As if nothing happened. He stood around my stall for maybe ten minutes and never made eye contact.
I’m hella baffled. I feel weird — if I try to say hi it might be awkward, but if I ignore it I feel publicly snubbed in front of other sellers, and I’m trying to sell stuff so it messes with my mood and my sales. Makes me feel like an outsider.
Should I message and ask him straight up, like “are you avoiding me?” or just let it go and be professional? Or should I protect myself and avoid getting involved, pretend I didn’t see him like he did to me? Or am I just overthinking?
What do you all think? Please give me advice T_T
P.S. If anyone’s been through this, share how you handled it. I want a way that won’t make things awkward but I also don’t want to feel hurt, ugh.
Ran into my boss at the flea market and they acted like they didn’t see me — what should I do?
