Why am I still in shock
Short version: this just happened yesterday around 1pm. I’m 28, office worker at a company near Udon Thani, been on this team almost two years.

So yesterday we had a big meeting with the branch teams and one of us presented a project — the project I wrote the main details and the summary file for. I was hoping to explain some parts myself, but when the time came a teammate who was sitting next to me just walked up and presented instead without telling me, and the slides used text that I’d written almost exactly.

I froze. I had prepared to speak but got cut off, and the boss went on and on praising that person as talented, great ideas, making the team look capable. I’m happy the project passed, but I was so stunned. Felt like the wind got knocked out of me, face went red, hands shaking, heart racing 555

Back at my desk I was holding a small plastic coffee cup and messaged that person politely: “Thanks for presenting, but some parts were work I prepared.” They replied, “I know, I’ll tell the boss,” but didn’t say anything in front of the team.

I really need advice. Should I call out for credit in front of the team, or talk privately to the boss first? I’m embarrassed to look flustered but don’t want to be overly sensitive. If I let it go I still have to keep doing my job — I’ve been here almost two years, should I just tolerate it or say something short and direct in the meeting? The presentation lasted about 12 minutes but the feeling stuck with me all night and I had trouble sleeping T_T

Has anyone been through this? Please share how you’d say it or act — something that doesn’t look dramatic but gets my credit back. I don’t want this to drag on, but I don’t want to be taken advantage of either.
