I have been dating a Thai girlfriend for over a year. Our relationship is great and she is a wonderful person. But her parents do not really like that their daughter is dating a foreigner. Every time I visit her home the atmosphere is very uncomfortable. Her father barely talks to me and her mother just has a blank expression. My girlfriend told me her father once warned her foreigners are not serious they play around then leave. I am trying to prove I am serious by learning Thai and having a stable job. But I still feel like I have not been accepted. Anyone with experience with Thai families please share advice.
