I've been dating a coworker — different department — for 6 months. We kept it a secret. Didn't tell a soul.

We were afraid of losing face, afraid of office gossip, afraid it would change how coworkers saw us.

Last night we celebrated his birthday at a restaurant near the office. Didn't think anyone would see us. A coworker from my department happened to walk by — saw us kissing.

This morning I opened the office LINE group. There was a photo of us from behind. Blurry, but recognizable.

Got to my desk. Everyone pretended not to know, but I could feel them all stealing glances. In the bathroom I overheard them talking about it.

I'm so embarrassed. What do I do now? Come out and say it directly, or pretend nothing happened? Will HR come talk to me? I don't even know what the company policy is.

I don't want to go back to the office tomorrow.
