I'll be straight because I'm totally confused and my brain's fried.
I'm 26, I run a small online shop in Udon Thani, I deliver stuff myself every day. Some nights I get home around 11:10pm, but I usually try to make time for my girlfriend (we've been together nearly three years) and things have been okay.

Last night was the thing that made me trip up. I was about to switch to the shop account and picked up my phone, and there was a short chat still on the screen. It showed the name of one of her old co-workers (I only met him once last year). The message said something like “want to meet” with a blunt sticker, then a location pinned near the weekend market by her place. It’s a small thing, but the timing felt really weird to me.

I froze.

I didn’t open the full chat because I didn’t want to invade her privacy, but it stuck in my head. When I asked her straight she said “just a friend, talking about work, picking something up” in a flat tone. But then I noticed she deleted some messages quickly last night and took down her story right after I brought it up — that made me more suspicious. Also, that guy recently moved back to his hometown but still texts her sometimes. Is it normal to invite her out to eat like that, or am I overreacting?

I’m so confused.

A neighbor said they saw my girlfriend talking to that guy near the little food stall at the mouth of our soi in the early evening, around 7:30–8:00pm. My girlfriend says they only talked for ten minutes about work and then split so he could deliver something — I only half-believe that because her behavior after was different. She’s been turning her phone off more, saying the battery died, but when I ask why she didn’t charge it she says “forgot” in a weird way. I don't want to be controlling, but once you notice things they just feel off.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm too sensitive, or if it’s because I'm out delivering alone so I can’t keep watch. On days I don't have deliveries I just stew about it all night, thinking in circles for maybe an hour and a half to two hours, and then I end up delivering slower the next morning because my mood is all over the place.

This morning she made me coffee, I had a little ceramic cup with a tiny chip, we sat and drank quietly but inside I was worrying if being too direct would make her angry or push her away. Would she lie? I don’t want to fight without proof, but I don’t want to live with constant suspicion either... confused, right? I’m confused myself lol.

What should I do? Should I ask to see her phone and have a straight talk now, or wait until I have solid proof? Should I give her another chance, or should I keep clear watch and only ask when I’ve got something concrete? Anyone got a way to bring it up without making her defensive or angry please tell me.
