Hey everyone, first time posting so sorry if I mess anything up.
I'm 38, work at a factory near Pattaya–Chonburi. Been living with my girlfriend for 4 years. Came home last night around 1 a.m. from the night shift, totally exhausted, collapsed on the couch and I kinda absentmindedly grabbed her phone to kill time ’cause I was worried I might oversleep and miss work. I just scrolled through apps without thinking much.
I found a chat with someone who's not an old friend or a relative. The messages were really short, but the tone was...more familiar than usual. There was a “miss you” and some sweet stickers — that’s what made my heart drop. Very few words, like 3–4 lines, and there was a story that’s already gone. My girlfriend never leaves her screen unlocked like that. I was totally baffled and went quiet.
No couple photos, no location, nothing obvious, but it’s stuck in my head.
I’m trying not to blow this out of proportion or maybe I'm just overthinking. To be honest I don’t like confrontations or losing my temper, but I also don’t want to sit on this suspicion until it explodes one day. I’m scared that if I ask straight up she might shut down, or say it’s nothing and then we’ll both lose trust. Super awkward, seriously.
A roommate told me to ask directly, another said to watch for two weeks — literally said 14 days exactly — like wait and see the good side before talking. But I’m afraid I won’t sleep peacefully any night, or maybe I’m being petty T_T
I want opinions: should I bring it up first thing in the morning, or keep watching for a bit? Ask away if you need more details, I’ll tell you — there’s stuff I haven’t said yet but I don’t want to charge in immediately lolol.
Totally confused — found a weird message on my girlfriend's phone, should I confront her straight up?
