I'm so confused and upset.

Short version: I'm 42 and work as a food courier around Bang Kapi–Saphan Mai. I'll be straight—I've been doing this almost three years. For the past two months there's been a problem. Some nights, like last night, around 23:30 the same delivery pops up in range. I couldn't grab it in time because I was putting a bag into a box and fiddling with a tiny keychain hanging on my car keys, and the same person grabbed it instantly. Then when the order got stuck, the boss made that same person take the extra responsibility. I really feel ignored.

Some days I get fewer orders than others even though we start at exactly the same time and work about eight hours. I'm so confused I cried T_T — or am I just overthinking? I'm almost forty, I don't want to make a fuss, but... I feel overlooked because the person who snatches queues is newer and younger and always gets the good runs. It gnaws at me, seriously confusing.

I messaged the boss softly like, “You grab queues a lot, huh.” He just nodded and said it’ll balance out over time. And that was it. End of story. But I still don't see it balancing out. Feels like the boss doesn't want to deal with it or take sides, maybe afraid of killing the vibe. But delivery work has no benefits—if income drops it really affects life. Rent, gas, food, I need eye drops every morning because my eyes are lazy when I wake up lolol.

I'm asking you all: if it were me, should I talk to the boss again seriously? Like set a short meeting and list things out, or let it go because I'm afraid of being seen as needy? I'm scared of making the atmosphere tense, but if I don't speak up my income will keep dropping and I don't know what to do. I'm so stressed, am I making sense?

P.S. I'm scared people will call me sensitive, but people gotta eat and pay rent, you know...
