❓ FAQ

Do I need a visa to visit Thailand?

Most visitors do not need a visa. When you arrive in Thailand, you automatically get a tourist entry stamp — 60 days for most countries, 90 days for Korea/Brazil/Argentina/Chile/Peru. Just show your passport at immigration.

Can I stay longer than my initial stamp?

Yes. Go to any Immigration Office at least 7 days before your stamp expires. Pay 1,900 THB and you get 30 more days. Bring your passport, a photo, and TM.7 form.

What is the TDAC?

It is an online form you fill out before arriving in Thailand. Free, takes 5 minutes. It replaced the old paper card (TM.6). Do it at tdac.immigration.go.th within 3 days of your flight.

Can I work while on a tourist stamp?

No. Your automatic entry stamp is for tourism only. If you want to work remotely, you need a separate visa called DTV. If you want to work for a Thai company, you need a Non-B visa + work permit.

What if I stay past my allowed date?

500 THB fine per day you overstay (max 20,000 THB). If you overstay more than 90 days, you get banned from Thailand for 1 to 10 years. Always leave or extend before your date.

How many times can I enter Thailand without a visa?

By air: no official limit, but immigration may question you if you keep coming back on tourist stamps all year. By land: max 2 times per year.
