I have been saving for years and now have about 500000 baht in capital. I want to open a small food shop selling rice with curry. Street food style not a big restaurant. I want to know what permits are needed. Is FDA certification necessary? Is it hard to get a food selling permit from the municipality? If it is a street side shop how much rent to pay to the municipality? And what is the total starting cost approximately? Anyone who has opened a restaurant in Thailand please share your experience.
