Dont speak Thai well — how to communicate with doctors at the hospital
I am not feeling well and want to see a doctor but my Thai is not strong and I am worried about communicating with doctors especially for complex symptoms. Public hospitals have very long queues and no interpreters. So I want to know if private hospitals generally have foreign language interpreters or if I need to bring a friend to translate. I heard big private hospitals have multilingual interpreters. Is that true? Do you have to pay extra for interpreter services?
