Olive Ridley Sea Turtle Strands on Karon Beach; Officials Rescue and Return It to Sea

A team of marine conservation officers and volunteers rescued an olive ridley sea turtle found weak and entangled in net debris on Karon Beach in Mueang District, Phuket, on Monday morning. The rescue was swift and coordinated with relevant agencies to restore the turtle to health before releasing it back into the sea.

Officials said the turtle showed signs of being tangled in net fragments, which made movement difficult and caused weakness. Some skin abrasions were observed, likely from rubbing against the net debris or sand.
