Should I talk to my boss or not? Work keeps getting reassigned from me to others and I feel so alone and exhaustedddd
Short version: I'm 38, office job in Nakhon Ratchasima, been on this team almost five years. But for the past two full months a new hire came in and the boss keeps giving the tasks that used to be mine to that new person — even though I've done them at every step, I know the process, I have the old files and that little blue pen in my drawer I’ve been using since last year. So now I get pushed to the secondary tasks that don't show much work, but somehow I end up with more responsibility when things get rushed. I have to slap things together and sit replying to emails at past 10pm a lot. My head hurts so much for reallll
Some coworkers are helpful, but some act like they don't see me at all. Silent. So still. Like I’m air. It sits heavy in my chest.
I'm scared that if I bring it up it'll turn into drama, scared people will think I'm not flexible, and there's no one at home I can really talk to — my parents live in another district, who would understand, right. OP is just dizzy and alone lolol
People say keep it as your portfolio, don't say anything, but sometimes that makes me feel like I'm not relied on by the team and I lose motivation T_T Or maybe I should ask for a polite chat and request specific tasks back, like concretely say I want responsibility for Topic A and B, and Topic C can be handled by the new person — maybe a five-minute clear talk would be better.
Anyone been through this? What should I do? OP is really confused for reallll
Should I stay quiet or talk to my boss? Getting reassigned until I'm left with just the painful stuff
