I'm freelancing down in Hua Hin, mainly doing posters.

Yesterday something happened and I'm super stressed, honestly couldn't sleep. Short version: an old client who hired me about two months ago called around 9am (I was sipping coffee and doodling with a blue ballpoint) saying they want me to take another job, but they didn't pay a new deposit. We only agreed it'd be a small scope.

I already sent the source files once. The job was done, there were a few comments and it was fine, but lately they keep asking for more tweaks over and over, and now they're asking for the files to use commercially without paying extra — saying “please help, I'm a regular customer.” This happens so often and it's super awkward T_T

I'm 22 and just starting out, I want to keep good relationships with clients but I'm scared of being taken advantage of. I kinda want to say “I'm tired” but I'm afraid I'll lose future gigs. How do I negotiate clearly without burning the bridge?

Should I set boundaries from the start for real, or am I overthinking? Or should I say there's a limited time for each revision, like 30 minutes per round and charge for extra rounds if it goes over, something like that?

Also I'm in a coworking space in Hua Hin and know quite a few people there, so I'm worried about bad word getting around. Feeling really torn. Sometimes I want to send a short message but my hands freeze and I can't bring myself to type.

Freelancer friends or anyone who's dealt with this — how did you handle it? Share your experience or simple lines I can use in negotiation. I’d be super grateful haha
