Sorry, I just signed up. Feels like I'm sneaking away from my boss to make a thread in the morning before coffee lol

I'm 42, work as hotel staff over in Bang Rak. Simple life. Married 6 years, got a kid or two, but this has nothing to do with the kid.

The other night, around 10pm I finished checking in guests at about 22:20, got home around 22:50, showered and sat watching TV waiting for my partner to get back. Sat waiting about 40 minutes, holding a small iced coffee cup, the lid slightly cracked — mentioning that in case it helps picture the scene.

But around 23:10 my partner sent a location via an app — a spot on a different road, not on the way home — and on their IG story was a photo of a meal box and a drink bottle, the lid with a yellow sticker, with a short caption like “who wants to go home late?” with a smiling vibe. I was like... huh. Really confused. Felt... um.

I'm not super possessive, but it's weird they didn't just say they were with friends or stuck at work. Do you need to send the wrong location and post that? Or am I just reading into it? I imagine situations where guests at the hotel gave wrong info before, so it stuck in my brain and now this is triggering the same uneasy feeling.

When I asked, the answer was “ran into an old friend, talked for a long time, didn’t mean anything.” Tone on the call sounded normal, but I half believed it and half didn’t. Super confused. Maybe I'm being paranoid? Should I ask directly for honesty? Or wait for them to tell me? Stay quiet and see if it gets better?

What should I do? Will they feel like I’m always accusing them if I press it? If I let it go I'm afraid it will eat at me. Sigh.

Anyone got perspectives or advice, please help T_T
