I was just checking the conveyor belt, around 07:15 in the morning.

Got called over to talk right in front of the line. Went totally quiet. Kinda shook me up a bit.

The foreman said we didn't hit the target, even though my machine had problems for almost 45 minutes — I was standing there fixing, checking screws, tightening bolts until my hands were black. Had the little wrench in my hand, totally exhausted, but he didn't listen to any details. He talked like he knew everything, gave this long lecture and pointed his finger saying I messed everything up. Feels like he didn't want to hear any reasons at all.

The guy who came to help me that morning got ignored because he's on the same table as the foreman, so he ends up getting all the good results to himself. The foreman always pulls the good workers aside to talk or to give them special tasks alone, happens so often. Really confusing. I just stood there watching.

I'm 42, been here almost eight years, live in Phuket. I ride my bike from a rowhouse near the market every morning, eat from the little food stall at the street corner a lot, then go to work. Sometimes I get about a 20-minute lunch break, sometimes not. Ride home in the dark, sometimes don't get back until nearly eight at night. My parents wait for dinner and nobody even asks how I'm doing. Auntie Jiw who sells the food always says hi but can't fix anything lol.

When things go wrong the foreman likes to blame me alone, acts like he's the one in charge but in reality he hardly ever comes down to check the machines — just stands with a folder, watches the clock. When I walk up and explain it feels like I'm talking to a wall. Then he tells me "why aren't you faster" even though I tried my best, left home at five am, it was so dark.

Overtime is often available but lately shifts get changed suddenly — told at 1 pm that the shift changes at 5 pm. I usually call my dad before I leave in case he needs me to buy anything, but this time nobody asked. I've said something before but it just got shrugged off. Is that just how he is?

I'm worried I'll become the problem person in my coworkers' eyes. OP here just confused and upset T_T

Anyone ever deal with this? What should I do? If I'm being difficult, just tell me straight up, okay?
