Hey everyone, first time starting a thread here. Sorry if I ramble or sound awkward, I'm super embarrassed but I really need to vent.

I'm 38, run a small online shop in Korat. I keep stock in a rented room near the market and pack orders to send by mail. Some days I have to get up around 5:20 AM to grab supplies from the delivery truck. Sometimes I get back late — 4 AM or 5 AM — and get home around midnight. Not every day but it happens a lot. Been doing this for almost three years now.

There are three of us renting that tiny room to store and pack stuff — saves money — but when a new person moved in the vibe totally changed.

His name’s Ton (just calling him that). He quit his regular job to sell online like us. At first he helped pack and replied to chats and seemed hardworking. Then he started trying to control everything, like he’s the boss: stock layout, box positions, stuff like that.

Sometimes he sends a group chat at 12:30 AM like, “Tomorrow everyone must be here at 8AM. If you’re late you’re responsible for lost customers.” We’re like huh. There’s no real meeting, and some days I actually have to be at the market early to wait for the supplier truck at 5AM. If he’s going to police other people’s schedules, that’s... weird, right?

He gives orders like commands: “You put the box wrong, do it again,” or “Don’t let anyone sit here, get out.” He even yells in the room, like we’re his employees, like he’s wearing a boss sign on his forehead. I’m confused, seriously confused lolol.

There are real consequences. Some parcels got delayed because he re-queued everything under his rules. Customers DM and rant, and we have to explain which wastes so much time. I’m exhausted, really, but we can’t fight with customers — and to be honest I’m scared of making the atmosphere worse if I push back.

I tried talking to him a few times, asking us to work like siblings, but he gets irritated and says, “If you do it like that the work won’t get done,” in this sharp tone. Sometimes he changes the system even though we had already agreed on things — like he tossed boxes I organized (I even put a little paper tag and a green-key keychain to mark position) into a pile and said, “This is more convenient.” I was shocked, those were my things.

One time he brought a small speaker and blasted music in the afternoon, then cursed at someone who asked him to turn it down because they were on a customer call. When the phone rang in the room he said, “If you want to talk, go outside.” Again, ordering people around like a boss. The place went quiet. Do we just tolerate this, or should we be blunt? But if I’m blunt I’m worried he’ll explode again.

I try to take responsibility for my stuff — pick and pack my orders, fix bent or damaged boxes, sometimes spend an hour getting things right — and still he criticizes me as “not systematic,” even though I’m doing what we agreed at the start. Why change things without asking? What’s his deal, I’m really confused.

I’m thinking of moving to a separate rental, but I’m worried about extra costs and I have regular customers with ongoing shipments so moving now is tough. Or am I just being petty? Should I talk very directly with him, or get someone neutral to mediate and set clear rules?

Sorry for the long and messy post, I’ll update later. What do you all think? What should I do? T_T

P.S. Sorry in advance if I was rude anywhere. Thanks for any advice.
