Last night was super quiet. Around 11:12 PM I peeked at my girlfriend's social because it was unusually silent. I found one lonely line in a chat from someone I don't know — a heart and “miss you” — I was totally stunned.

I'm 29, office job with paperwork in Pattaya. I get to the office at 8, leave around 6:30, come home exhausted. I put my daily notebook and a blue pen under the bed and just crashed. Normally my girlfriend (we've been together nearly a year) texts every night before bed — she never goes quiet like that.

It wasn't just the message. That night she closed her screen real fast. When I asked her later she brushed it off saying it was a coworker talking about a project. I tried to believe her but... the voice in my head wouldn't stop. I secretly scrolled back through the chat for like 10–15 minutes, scrolling slowly because my hands were shaking, and I found some sweet stickers and flirty-ish messages, like teasing from the afternoon when she hadn't replied to me quickly. That matched the time the other person had messaged.

I'm not the jealous type who flirts around or anything. I honestly hadn't snooped on her phone before, but seeing that made me really surprised and super possessive. I feel guilty for snooping but I'm scared if I don't notice something I might miss it. I'm weirdly stuck and unsettled.

Then this morning she told me “don't overthink it yet” which... made me even more suspicious, or am I just overthinking? I'm so confused lol T_T

Anyone else been through this? Should I confront her directly or save evidence and wait until it's clearer? I'm afraid bringing it up will start a fight, but I'm also afraid letting it sit will make things worse. OP is really confused here, please give advice. Also, sorry if it was rude of me to look through her phone.
