I have been working in Thailand for 5 years. Have a Thai girlfriend stable job friends and a good life. But my parents back home are getting old and want me to live closer. Every time I call home my mother cries and asks when are you coming back. I feel so guilty. But if I go back there are no jobs as good as here and the salary would be much lower. My girlfriend cannot come with me because she does not know the language. It feels like I have to choose between family and my own happiness. I am so stressed and have not been able to sleep for many nights. Anyone been through this? How did you deal with it?
