Didn't see this coming at all — found out about this less than a month before the wedding. I'm totally shocked. Seriously.
This Tuesday morning around 05:30 I opened the plastic folder where I keep the slips and the bank passbook to check and get ready to pay for the wedding, and one chunk of money was gone — really gone, not just in my head. There's not enough now.
I've been saving since we started dating two years ago. I work at a shop in a mall in Khon Kaen. I handled every baht because my partner said to let me keep it, they'd help pay some parts. Everyone says marriage is about talking, but with this I’m so confused. Turns out they used the wedding money for personal stuff without telling me — good or bad, I don't even know. What I thought would be enough isn't.
I'm not someone who overthinks things, but now I'm so stressed I can't focus on selling. I'm super irritated, feels like I got stabbed in the heart. Weird, right? We talked about the wedding budget in detail before, but whenever I ask now I get this fuzzy answer like “I'll sort it out” and they dodge to work. This has happened a few times, like there's something they don't want me to know.
I'm afraid if I wait until after the wedding it'll be harder to deal with. There's still time to steer things, but I'm scared this small thing will blow up and ruin everything. Trust is starting to crack, or maybe I'm just overthinking, who knows ㅋㅋㅋ T_T
Anyone been through this? Should I talk to them straight before the wedding, or just stay quiet and let it go? What do you guys think we should do?
P.S. I'll update later.
